Winter is coming …

But until it gets here, I plan to wear this adorable Mother of Dragons t-shirt, designed by Mona Collentine, a graphic designer and artist based in Atlanta:

Yes, that’s really me. Really wearing the t-shirt, which I bought from Mona’s etsy shop as soon as I became aware of its existence. Because I literally couldn’t live without it. 

For those of you who live under a rock (or aren’t obsessed with sci-fi and fantasy), this shirt depicts Game of Thrones dragon mother Daenerys Targaryen re-imagined as a Disney princess and flanked by my three favorite Disney dragons.

I wore it during a day trip to a local living history museum recently, and while no one seemed to recognize who or what was on my shirt, I did get a wonderful kick out of watching Maleficent rear every time I took a deep breath.

Almost as cool as the shirt itself is the Care Instruction sheet that came with my fabulous new fashion statement:

Here’s the original art,  designed for a Seattle art show called Hey Geek Girl, “a tribute to women and pop culture.”

How can you not love that?!
