Weekly Round Up: September 22

Ronald McSnow WhiteHappy Tuesday! And apologies for the unannounced disappearance last week. I was feeling really run down and had a bit of a cold. Just not in the blogging spirit. But I’m back! And I’m so excited that the muppets premiere tonight.

I’ve been keeping busy. This past weekend, we celebrated my niece’s first birthday! And last weekend, we spent some time in Williamsburg … which is where we found the graffiti in today’s post. Pretty interesting.

I’ve also been getting excited about our Thanksgiving visit to Orlando … we booked breakfast at Sci-Fi Dine-in without even realizing it was a limited-time event. Excited to try it! And I’m hoping to finally get a look at Trader Sam’s as well as the new Indiana Jones bar at Disney Springs. Anything else that I need to put on my to-do list this visit? Other than visit Streets of America during the festival of lights in its final year, of course. (Sniff.)

What are you up to? And what piece of Disney news piqued your interest these past couple of weeks? Tell me about it!

One Little Spark of Inspiration
Estelle, who still writes on Rather Be Reading, shares some very Muppet-y YA novels.

Some very funny people had a ridiculous amount of fun thinking about Disney villains … in bed on Pajiba.

On Disney In Your Day, Becky gives her pick for best Disneyland planning book. (Gotta pick up a copy!)

Jen and John, who are also known as the couple behind EPBOT, made Figment. They. Made. Figment. It’s pretty much the most amazing thing ever.

Alex went on an Adventure by Disney and is telling us all about it on Practically Imperfect.

On Sparkly Ever After, Nicole penned a love letter to Mulch, Sweat and Shears, who’re ending their run at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Roseanne, who wonders What’s the Point, has some fun at Jellyrolls.

Emma’s impressions of DVC at the Polynesian Resort? Well, you’ll have to check them out on A Pinch of Pixie Dust.

On Touring Plans Blog, Erin shares a very interesting accounting of sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line with a large group.

Melissa, who’s Rolling With The Magic, has some sips and snacks at one of my favorite on-property lounges.

Ryan wonders what, exactly, happened eight years ago at Downtown Disney on Main Street Gazette.
