Weekly Round Up: June 14

Jungle Cruise Elephant Happy Tuesday! And welcome back to your regularly scheduled blog. Really. I’ll have new posts going up six days a week for the rest of the month and into July.

Big weekend for me, Disney-wise: Dan and I saw Finding Dory in the theatre, and we rented Zootopia. Dory was cute, but I loved Zootopia more by far. It had a great message but wasn’t too heavy handed and offered a lot of belly laughs as well as genuinely heartwarming moments. Dory, on the other hand, was super clever but felt way too familiar. And I’m pretty sure that it’s the first Pixar movie that didn’t make me cry. (Not that I went to the theatre expecting or hoping to cry. But I’ve come to expect at least a couple of tears and … nada.)

Exciting: Mexcio Pavilion is now opening at 9 a.m. and La Cantina is offering breakfast! I hope the other World Showcase Pavilions start opening their doors earlier … any that some of the Future World locations start staying open past 7 p.m.! (Grumble grumble!)

What are you up to? And what Disney news has you interested?
