I hung out with my niece on Saturday … at 22 months old, she flat-out refuses to watch Tangled. I was so bummed. But we had fun anyway. We watched lots of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Rapunzel made an appearance on a toddler-approved episode of Sofia the First), and we spent some time splashing around in her kiddie pool … which was full of the finest Finding Dory pool toys. Is it weird that she and I have most of the same interests? (I said most … because she is also into pooping in her pants, and I’d really rather play Pokemon Go.)
Then, on Sunday, Dan and I saw Ghostbusters, which was amazing, amazing, amazing. Seriously. Go see it! I am so in love with Dr. Jillian Holtzman, and you will be, too!
In Disney news, Disney’s dropped the idea of developing Egg Island into a second Castaway Cay-type island. I’m bummed–but I’m glad they took their environmental impact into account and I’m sure that they’ll find the perfect spot for another little slice of heaven. AND! The My Disney Experience app has been updated to include a “Get Directions” button so you’ll never find yourself wondering if you should take the bus or the monorail again!
Also: AbracadaBar. It’s like Disney took three of my favorite things and mashed them into one super most-amazing thing. You’d better believe I’ll be getting drunk there posthaste.
What are you up to? And what Disney news has you interested?
