Weekly Round Up: January 31
Tracy and Melissa

Is this more fun than City Walk at Universal?

It’s been a quiet week around here at Mouse on the Mind. Tracy spent several days in New Orleans and is presently cruising around the Caribbean, certainly having way more fun than Melissa Sue, who has been moving furniture and reorganizing her Finger Lakes home.

Glamour! Excitement! It’s all in a week’s work at Mouse on the Mind!

We do have some exciting news to report. We’re giving away a copy of the Passporter Free Book on our Facebook page. “Like” us, then keep an eye out for Contest Entry Photos! And we’re still looking forward to meeting you all during our meet on February 28. Will you be there?

In The News
Super huge congratulations to Josh at EasyWDW.com. His site was quoted in the New York Times about visiting Disney World during the Super Bowl. Way to go, Josh!! No one deserves the ink more than you!

Our Favorites This Week
On the Touring Plans Blog, Erin Foster gave us some tips for selecting a Disney World resort. Her philosophy: It’s all about the bathroom!

Gray Cargill wrote a great post comparing City Walk and Downtown Disney on SoloFriendly.com. This is one of Tracy’s favorite subjects! (In fact, she’s written about it herself on The Suitcase Scholar.)

Ever wonder about the specifics of Disney’s cast member policies? Teevtee gives us a look at “The Disney look,” a mid-1980s brochure covering cast member grooming procedures, on Parkeology. Hilarious!

Keeping the funny going on Parkeology, Shane Lindsay shared Dr. Harold Farthing’s disturbing notes about his time with the Carousel Family from Tomorrowland, Fla.

Gary Chambers wrote a really great review of Brian Wilson’s In the Key of Disney  for The Disney Driven Life. Melissa Sue’s a huge Beach Boys fan, and she loves this album–it’s such an interesting take on classic songs.

AJ wrote about an amazing, huge gelato sundae from the Italy pavilion on DisneyFoodBlog. We know where our next lunch in Epcot is coming from …

Sticking to dessert, we posted this on our Facebook page last week, but it bears re-sharing: Ryan at Main Street Gazette wrote about The Earthquake, a sundae for sharing at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Fire up your spoons, Disney fans!
