Weekly Round Up: January 29

The Lapu Lapu at Tambu Lounge
Maybe I’ll put it in a hollowed-out pineapple!

You guys … Dole Whips with rum are going to be a thing soon, and ever since I heard, I kind of can’t think of anything else. I don’t have a Flower & Garden trip planned this year, but I am thinking I can recreate the effect next weekend with a can of pineapple juice, a visit to Captain Cook’s and a stop at the Tambu Lounge. And it will be totally worth the effort.

My desire for a drink aside, we have some major celebrating to do today: we’re less than a month away from the super awesome North East Meet on February 23 at The Cornerstone Lounge in Brooklyn. RSVP.

Happy Birthday
Congratulations to Lindsey Pacheco, who won the awesome wine charms during week four of our Birthday Celebration Giveaway. Fortunately for the rest of you, the final week of the celebration is going on right now! You have until Sunday to enter, so get a move on!

As is my custom, I made bad jokes as part of the World News Roundtable on Main Street Gazette and wrote about a robot astronaut, a new technology that uses footsteps to generate electricity,

Tracy wrote about Primanti Brothers and ate chicken wings in the East Village.

Special thanks to This Happy Place Blog and The Affordable Mouse for including us in their weekend “best of” posts! We love you guys. 🙂

And ultra super duper special thanks to Sarah from Running at Disney, who awarded us with a Liebster Award.
