Weekly Round Up: February 26

Hipsters on the MindOh gosh, guys! I had such an amazing, awesome, incredibly incredible time meeting those of you who came out on Saturday night to hang out with myself and my friends from This Happy Place Blog and Disney Hipster Blog. You guys are the best, and I feel so lucky to have so many wonderful people in my life. So thanks for coming out!

If you couldn’t be there (SHAME!), both the Hipsters and Estelle have a ton of photos over on their blogs. I totally didn’t take any photos, though. Bad blogger!

And if you didn’t come out because you were nervous or shy, I really hope you’ll consider joining us next time we host a North East Meet (oh, there will be another … and soon) or attending a different meet. There’s something so magical about the joy that a crowd of Disney fans can generate. I am still feeling a little high on the love fest.

Gushing aside, I have a totally awesome week coming up for you–and all of the posts are in honor of something amazing: tomorrow, guest blogger Kathryn Noblitt will tell us about her runDisney experience in honor of the Princess Half and all of the amazing folks who ran in it. Thursday, we’re looking at some awesome Disney style in honor of Dapper Day (also this past weekend). And Friday, we’re going to get a little tipsy in honor of the Flower and Garden Festival. It’s all coming up, and it’s all awesome. Get excited!!

Over the Rainbow and to Worlds Beyond
Over on Electronic Products, I wrote about a dongle that turns your iPhone into a universal remote and GE’s new take on the Internet of Things.

Special thanks to Eating WDW,  This Happy Place Blog  and Main Street Gazette for including us in their weekend “best of” posts. And to Mickey Mutineers, a group of wonderful, funny gents who listed Mouse on the Mind among their favorite blogs. I love getting inappropriate with you guys!

One Little Spark of Inspiration
Nerds in Wonderland did an awesome post about Nixon and Disney World. So funny and so true.

Katherine from Food. Fitness. Fantasy. and her gorgeous beau ordered both of my favorite things off the Kona Cafe menu! Yummmmmmmm.

RG-6 got my heart pounding with memories of ExtraTerrorestrial on Mickey Mutineers.

Estelle watched six hours of Cinderella and reported back on This Happy Place Blog.

The Mary Sue shared an adorable video of Disney employees trying to do Merida’s accent.

Sarah from Eating WDW made spanakopita at home. One of my all-time favorite things!

Rich from Mouse Troop got one of the best Disney souvenirs ever during the Year of a Million Dreams.

The Disney Hipsters poured some love on the desserts at Liberty Tree Tavern.  YES, please!

Disney by Mark has the scoop on a patent for a floating Omnimover. I want to ride on that!
