Weekly Round Up: December 21

Melissa with holiday Dumbo (At Disney Again)Happy Almost-Christmas! I’m going to keep thinks quick this week because I have a lot of holiday preparing to do (and you probably do, too) … and since I haven’t seen Star Wars yet (I probably won’t until well after the holidays), there’s not too much on the Internet that I can safely read at the moment anyway.

BUT! I want to make sure to log my concern over the metal detectors at the entrances to the Parks. I mean, I think it’s great, and I am glad Disney is doing everything that they can to keep us safe … but it’s scary! I’m still processing, but I am definitely having significant feels thinking about the fact that my happy place may not be a safe place.

What are you up to? And what do you think about safety in the Parks?

One Little Spark of Holiday Cheer
It’s Christmas time, and the holidays are topping everyone’s must-blog lists. Here’s a couple of links I enjoyed this week:

Becky, who wants to add Disney in Your Day, counts down her favorite Disney holiday films. (My fav, which didn’t make this list: A Muppet Family Christmas.)

Emma shares some of my favorite EPCOT holiday decorations on A Pinch of Pixie Dust.

On Disney Hipster Blog, Adam and Andrew are spreading holiday cheer … in GIF form!

The Force Awakens Our Inspiration
The only thing more popular than Santa right now is Star Wars! It’s practically been inescapable. Here’s some non-spoilery fun:

I’ve been loving all of the Star Wars dresses coming from this new movie … but this is even better! One woman crafted a Star Wars dress and bowling shirt from her husband’s old bedsheets on We Sew Retro.

On Pajiba, Kristy taste-tested the Dark Side and Light Side ice creams I posted about earlier this month. (If you missed it, click here!)

James, who believes that Home is Where the Mouse Is, is all about sharing this new generation of Star Wars with his daughter.

Ryan, the editor in chief of Main Street Gazette, shows us around Star Wars Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios.

Jodi exclaims over some of the weirdest and most wonderful Star Wars merch on Pajiba.

What are you reading this week?? Let us know in the comments!
