I was so absolutely enchanted by him during my visit to WDW last September. During my three week safari, he broke away from the herd and took off running across the habitat, his ears blowing wild in the wind. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever.
We’re trying something a little different here today: breaking up the links by subject. Let me know what you think of the new format in the comments below.
There’s a great group of posts coming up this week, including the last three entries in our Disney at Night series! Can you believe it’s already been five weeks of nighttime magic?? Starting on Saturday, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Us … Elsewhere
This week, Professor Rebecca Hains gave us a super sweet shout out on her media culture blog.
On her travel blog, Tracy broke down her year of no-working down by the numbers. Tracy also explored the wonders of a room with a view of the sea aboard a cruise ship and had her first solo B&B experience.
It’s been a big week in the Disney blogging community! I’d be remiss if I didn’t send out some wishes to three men I respect enormously:
Ryan and his Main Street Gazette celebrated five years this week! His was one of the first Disney blogs I read, and he continues to inspire me to make Mouse on the Mind better and better.
Celebrating one year this week are Adam and Andrew, also known as the Disney Hipsters. They’ve got such a unique view and never fail to make me look at things in a new light.
In sadder news, let’s all send some love toward Jenn of Disney Babies Blog, who had to put her precious pup to sleep earlier this week. I’m sorry for your loss.
Wild in the Wilderness
This week, the blogosphere gave us lots of great content about our two favorite places to hang out on property:
Marc reviewed Roaring Fork’s specialty waffles on Disney Food Blog.
Main Street Gazette‘s Ryan checked into the Fort, circa 1979.
Kristen grabbed a drink at Trout Pass Pool Bar and shared it on WDW for Grownups.
The Disney Parks Blog revealed some little-known facts about the Lodge.
Disney Diva Janie wrote about her favorite things at the Fort.
Take a bite out of some of our favorite restaurants as well as spots we’d love to try:
The Disney Hipsters cooked up some Bunny Chow.
Sarah chowed down at Raglan Road and shared her thoughts on Running at Disney.
The Disney Diva visited one of our favorites: Kouzzina.
Melinda shared news of an on-property food truck on WDW for Grownups.
Emma wrote about one of my favorite treats on the planet with A Pinch of Pixie Dust!
The Magic at Home
This week, our friends brought a little Disney into their everyday lives…
On This Happy Place Blog, Estelle continues to curate the awesome EndEARing and Underrated series about beloved Disney toons.
Also on This Happy Place Blog, Estelle’s family went to WDW, and all she got were these hilarious text messages.
On Mice Chat, George Taylor displayed the history of WDW maps. Fascinating stuff!
Morgan, aka Silly Whims, painted the park icons in miniature.
Richard Terpstra of Designerland created a beautiful Orange Bird t-shirt that I’d wear all over town!
What are you reading this week?? Let us know in the comments!
