Quick Bite: Citrus Swirl Float

IMG_77422We all know about my tendency to put alcohol in frozen treats, but what you may not know is that I love a good float.

The classic root-beer variety does a taste bud good, but even more, I love the rouge Coke float. Yummmmmm!

Point is, when you introduce a frosty, creamy treat into a sweet, fizzy pop, I’m a happy girl. Which is why I made a beeline for Sunshine Tree Terrace when I read about a new float option on Disney Food Blog.

Well. Okay. The Citrus Swirl Float is not really an option. And when I ordered it, the folks behind the counter were like, “huh? can we even do that?” Apparently, it hasn’t quite caught on yet.

But it will. Oh, trust me. It will. Because you’re reading this right now. And you’re going to feel compelled to try the Citrus Swirl Float. And once you do, you’re going to tell your friends. And they’re going to try it and tell their friends. Because it is that good, people. It. Is. That. Good.

So here’s what you do: Go to the counter. Order a Sprite float made with Citrus Swirl. If they look at you funny, insist it’s what you want. Then grab a spoon, a straw and a couple of napkins and dig in.

As you can see, I ordered mine in a Tiki Tankard. Because it’s so damn cute (and it made Dan insanely happy). I wouldn’t recommend this choice, though. It was too tall and thin to be a good float vessel, and I had to go to the counter for a bit more Sprite at the end. But despite that, my first Citrus Swirl Float was out-of-this-world good. Really refreshing and light with that zesty orange bite. Too delish.

Have you tried this brilliant concoction yet? Let us know in the comments!
