We literally decided to make the trip only two days in advance of our arrival, and as we sat side-by-side on my couch trying to book a DVC room for our stay, one thing became quite clear: THERE WERE NO ROOMS AT THE INN.
No matter what resort we asked the amazing Disney Vacation Club website to search, it came back with one response: Bay Lake Tower / Kidani Village / Old Key West: totally booked! Are you interested in trying Saratoga Springs?
Frankly, no. I’d never considered SSR. Neither had my traveling companion. But it looked like that was our only option … And if “having to” stay at SSR was our biggest problem, then we had absolutely no problems at all.
As it turns out, even though it’s kind of old and supposedly “stuffy,” Saratga Springs is actually lovely and peaceful. Yea, it’s spread out and huge, but we had a car and we weren’t far from a bus stop. We ended up being really happy with the spacious and well-decorated studio.
Here are a few of my favorite examples of the horse racing themed details as well as the totally Melissa-approved color palette in our super comfy room.
