Kill Refurb Marry: Spots for Watching the World Go By

Kill Refurb Marry Blog HopYou are probably familiar with the popular parlor game, Kill Boff Marry, where given the choice between three people, you must decide which you’d murder, sleep with and spend the rest of your life with.

Well, Estelle from This Happy Place Blog and I transformed the  game into a WDW-themed version called Kill Refurb Marry. Then we added a little Blog Hop action so everyone can play along! You can check out their links on this month’s the Kill Refurb Marry homepage.

This month, we’re sounding off on Spots for Watching the World Go By. Enjoy my picks!

Kill: Casey’s Corner Outdoor Seating

Casey's Corner Pumpkins (Mouse on the Mind)In a perfect world, this would be a great place to sit and people watch. You’ve got the perfect view of pretty much everyone coming into the Park. But it is not a perfect world. And, instead, this area of the Park always feels overcrowded, over loud and over … feathered? Yea, I’m talking about the birds. There are so many of them, and they’re so aggressive. I wish there was more/better indoor seating here. (The redesigned space doesn’t do it for me, either.)

Refurb: Frontierland

wdwshoppingfrontier2I’m not going to lie: Sometimes, when I am having a bad day and especially when it’s cold, I dream about hanging out in Frontierland. Sitting on a porch. Or leaning against a wall. With a Mickey Premium Bar. Or a Mickey-faced pretzel. Just watching the day pass me by. It’s a little slice of heaven. The only thing that could make it better? If there were some Adirondack chairs or rocking chairs … or whatever kind of chairs are time-period appropriate.  Also: More performances by the Frontierland Band.

Marry: EPCOT’s Fountain of Nations

2014-10-23 11.20.27

Lately, my favorite place to hang is just outside the Fountain View Starbucks with an unsweetened green iced tea in my hand and a view of … well … the fountain. It’s really such a nice place to survey the landscape, enjoy the warmth of the sun and decide what’s next on the Disney docket. Plus, you really can’t beat the show. It really is one of my favorite Disney things.

I also have to give honorary mentions to Echo Lake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and pretty much anywhere in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, especially Dawa Bar and the seating across from Anandapur Ice Cream Truck. Happy places, one and all!
