Disney’s Hollywood Studios might be the smallest Disney World Park, but there are so many reasons to love it. Here are a few of my favorites:
The Milkshakes
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has some of the best milkshakes in Walt Disney World. Try the peanut butter and jelly milkshake at 50’s Prime Time Café or the Solar Flare at the Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater.
Tip: You can get a peanut butter and jelly milkshake at the Tune-In Lounge without sitting down for a meal.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
I don’t normally have such strong opinions, but The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is probably the best attraction in Walt Disney World.
Star Wars Weekends
See photo below. It’s a cupcake. It’s Darth Vader. Need I say more?
Tip: Use the force.
You Can Be Part of the Show
Since the Park’s opening day, Disney’s Hollywood Studios has had attractions where guests could be part of the show: Superstar Television, Harbor Attack at the Studio Backlot Tour, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Who Wants to be a Millionaire – Play It!, and, most recently, the American Idol Experience. If you’ve ever dreamed of being part of the movies, this is the place to do it.
Homemade Vanilla and Cherry Cokes
Head over to 50’s Prime Time Café or the Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater for a homemade Vanilla or Cherry Coke. Sure, you can buy Vanilla Coke or Cherry Coke in a bottle, but these Disney-made versions are better. Trust me. Just like regular soft drinks at table service restaurants, these include free refills, so mix and match and just keep drinking.
Character Meetings
When a new Disney animated movie is released, the characters are typically found at the Magic of Disney Animation. Right now, this is the only place you can meet Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz. She’s adorable, isn’t she?

You had me convinced at milk shakes.
I have got to get back to the Studios, ’cause the last time I was there, Sunset Blvd. didn’t exist yet! My favorite thing about it back then was the overall atmosphere and energy of the park. That and the Sid Cahuenga shop.

Wow!! That is a bit of a time since your last visit! The folks at Studios Central would be appalled. You will love Sunset Blvd, although I still think I prefer Echo Lake Park. Are you planning a WDW pilgrimage any time soon?
