I have a serious heart-on for over-the-top Disney fans, and I feel like those people–my people–very much gravitate to the down home, rustic, nostalgia-filled dirt byways and tree-lined paths at Fort Wilderness. Maybe I can’t stand camping, but holidays at The Fort are just so charming and fun.
Though I didn’t have an opportunity to enjoy the harvest season at Disney’s campground this year, Mouse on the Mind Contributor (and my personal favorite Orlando-based dude) Jeff Swearingen recently spent some quality time exploring the camper sites set up for the holiday, and he was kind enough to share many of the photos below.
I love the subtle Disney themes, like the Headless Horseman, as well as the more overt references with Mickey and Minnie making an appearance. I personally snapped the inflatable graveyard last fall, and I’m still kicking myself for not venturing further into the camp site.
