One of the neatest, most unexpected (by me) parts of the Festival was how many artists were scattered throughout the World Showcase, creating beautiful works of art inspired by some of my favorite places in the World.
Dan and I came across two such featured artists sitting along the path through Victoria Gardens in the Canada Pavilion, and both were super sweet about stopping what they were doing to talk to us about their artistic style.
Charles Schaefer, a pointillist camped out in front of everyone’s dream home, was especially kind and talkative, and we had a lovely conversation. I wish we could have bought one of his creations … but we’re poor.
Check out the UK artist rocking a Magic Band!
By the end of the day, we were so inspired by all of this wonderful Epcot creativity that we stopped at Art of Disney on our way out of the Park and picked up a special engagement piece for our apartment.
Have you ever stopped to talk to an Epcot artist? Or bought one of these original pieces? Let us know in the comments!
