Magical Blogorail Green: Top Disney Foods

Magical Blogorail Green Logo

Welcome to those of you joining me from Walt Disney World: Not Just for Kids and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the third stop on our Magical Blogorail.

Cheese plates, flank steaks and brûlées–oh, my! Disney Parks are just as much about the food as the attractions, and this month’s Blogorail Green is all about Top Disney Food.

Five Favorite Disney Food Experiences

1. Artist Point
I have never had a bad meal at Wilderness Lodge’s Signature Restaurant. I venture to think there is no such thing as a bad meal there, actually. In the past year and a half, I have written a review of my first meal there, as well as separate celebrations of their cheese plate and their incredibly rich mushroom soup.

Affogato from Gelato Cart in Epcot's Italy Pavilion (Mouse on the Mind)

2. Gelato
Someone recently told me that he believes I live on ice cream. Which is just untrue. But I could be persuaded to go on a gelato-only diet if I could move into Epcot’s Italy Pavilion, where the World’s best ice cream treats reside. I’ve tried a gelato with espresso, but my favorite treat is the Grandfather’s Cup sundae. So. Damn. Good.

3. Tangierine Café
I demand baklava! And it will come from Tangierine Café. And while you’re getting my sweet, delicious pistchaio treat, maybe you could grab me some lunch, too? Because, frankly, I love Tangierine. And Disney can build as many tappas-inspired restaurants as they want, I will be loyal to my one true counter service love.

4. Breakfast at Kouzzina
It’s no secret that I have a total heart on for breakfast foods. And the absolute king of all breakfasts at Walt Disney World can be found at Kouzzina on the Boardwalk. Between the open kitchen, the press pot coffee and the decadent menu, I want to take up residence under the boardwalk and eat until I explode. (Hot, I know.)

Beef-and-Lamb-Pie-with-Chips-500x4845. Cookes of Dublin
Remember how the center portion of Downtown Disney is called Pleasure Island? Well, it maybe got its name from Cookes of Dublin. This is the place to go when you want a ton of simple, uncomplicated but totally delicious food for nearly-below Disney prices in a nice, quiet atmosphere. Win, win, win.

Now remember: these are only the places I’ve already written about! I can think of at least one amazing dinner spot that I haven’t written up on the blog but would ABSOLUTELY need to be on this list.

Hmmm … maybe I’ll tell you about that soon …

Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Your Highway in the Sky.
