Magical Blogorail Green: My Favorite Ride Vehicle

Welcome to those of you joining me from Walt Disney World: Not Just for Kids and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the final stop on our Magical Blogorail.

When I heard this month’s topic, I immediately knew what I wanted to talk about:

The Seas Clammobile

The Clammobile!

So maybe The Seas with Nemo & Friends isn’t the most thrilling or exciting attraction, but I have some great memories from the Seas, and I especially love the clammobile.

It’s got a cozy, bench seat and a nice sloped back, perfect for resting a sun-weary head. There’s also plenty of room in each clam, so they’re good for cuddling up or getting some space.

Size-wise, I actually feel like they’re a lot more spacious than the Doombuggies. And their setting is certainly more relaxing. Instead of rattling doors and beckoning ghosts, your average clammobile pilots you through cool blue light and cheerful music.

Also, they’re pink! And what girl doesn’t love a nice coral space with soft lighting? Very romantic!

Peach - The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Find a happy place! Find a happy place! Find a happy place!

Exciting news for me: rumor has it that the ride vehicle for Under the Sea in New Fantasyland is also a clammobile … I can’t wait to check it out when I visit in just a couple of short weeks. Hopefully, there’s another luxurious, relaxing clammobile ride in my near future …

What’s your favorite Disney ride vehicle? Tell us why in the comments below!

Choosing a favorite ride vehicle is tough, but I’d have to say that I’m pretty fond of the Peter Pan’s Flight pirate ships.

  3. Love Clammobiles!

  4. Finally some Omnimover love in this loop! :)

  5. Dean Finder says:

I’m happy that the Clam-mobiles actually run, rather than the Sea Cabs that sat there forlorn for so long.
But that ride always makes me feel like they could have done so much more with the ride. Why not tell a new story, maybe with a message that ties into Turtle Talk, rather than just re-tell the story of the movie? And why is that tunnel through the big aquarium blacked-out? Projecting animation on the glass works at the end of he ride. Through the aquarium, it would have been phenomenal.

We love the clammobiles! It is something my kids look forward to every trip. Now my girls are excited that they will get to ride clammobiles again for the Little Mermaid attraction! :-)

Great ride vehicle! When I tell everyone that my favorite ride at Disneyworld is the teacups everyone thinks I am crazy!
