Welcome to those of you joining me from Disney Living and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the third stop on our Magical Blogorail.
I had a heck of a time coming up with a single attraction that I’d want to refurb. Even though some things are run down and tired, I still kind of love every inch of Walt Disney World for what it is, and I wouldn’t really want to change any of the attractions I’ve so grown to love over the years.
So I tossed the question out on Twitter, and I got a few responses … but one in particular stood out to me:
Not a terrible idea, but not something I’m in a rush to implement. But the tweet reminded me of something I’ve wanted to do for AGES.
Here’s the idea: put a simple, small table at the center of each TTA car. Serve snacks and drinks. And allow guests to enjoy their tour of Tomorrowland while munching on delicious Disney fare.
Where does the food come from? I’m glad you asked!
In keeping with the retro futurist theme of Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland, I’d install an automat-style food court at the base of Rocket Tower Plaza, so guests can quickly and easily order a delicious treat and then tap to pay with their Magic Band.
Come on now … tell me you’ve never dreamed of sipping on a slushy beverage or chowing down on some fries as you take a trip down the Tomorrowland Super Highway?!
If you could refurb any Disney attraction, what would it be and why?
