There is very little I love in this world more than someone else’s precocious kids. They say the funniest, smartest, most inappropriate things. They make you laugh and then, when you’re tired of listening to them, you can pass them back off to their parents and get on with being awesome.
Last week, reddit’s hive mind shared an amazing story of one such kid who I totally want to hang out with (for a limited time): Ethan, an eight year old who thinks there are too many godamned princesses and not enough princes on Disney Cruises:
Don’t bother reading through the thread … the comments on reddit get pretty ridiculous almost immediately, but SHIT I LOVE THIS LETTER.
Not only is it so awesome that Ethan had the ability to write such a well-thought-out letter (and with such amazing penmanship), and not only is it great that his parents were supportive enough to help him and use the Internet to spread the word about his amazingness, it’s totally mind-bendingly incredible that an eight-year-old kid looked around and said, “hey, what the hell? Where are all of the dude characters?!”
It’s almost enough to make me want to make my own freakishly smart kid. Almost.
