Aboard the Dream: Spoooooky Times At Sea

You. Guys. You guuuuuuuuys! YOU! GUYS! Earlier this week, some amazing news was released, and I can barely keep my excitement contained. Seriously. I’m walking through the grocery store brimming with excitement. Taking out the trash? Practically dancing. Even heading into the post office seems like a good time to do a little jig. What has me so excited?

Disney Cruise Line just announced that our upcoming Canadian cruise has officially been designated a Halloween on the High Seas sailing! Eeeeeeee!!!

Halloween on the High Seas (Disney World)

What does this mean? Well, it means that, in addition to Pirate Night, we’re also going to get to experience Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, a scare-a-bration with ghoulish games, trick-or-treating, dancing and some favorite Disney Pals in their Halloween attire! HALLOWEEN ATTIRE!

It’s also an opportunity to meet with Jack Skellington and Sally (WHAT?! THEY’RE IMPOSSIBLE TO MEET!) during Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream, an interactive movie experience.

Oh, and there’re other awesome opportunities, like pumpkin carving, spooky stories around the “campfire,” an adults-only costume party and a Halloween movie marathon on Funnel Vision. And in year’s past, I’ve heard of Villain-led dance parties … which is so incredible because I’m still sad that I missed the Villains party in Hollywood Studios this spring.

Could I be any more excited? Probably not. When Dan and I booked the cruise, we knew the Halloween sailings existed but we assumed our sailing date was too early to qualify for the special events. So we were absolutely bowled over with excitement when we read the news. And I can not waaaaait! Five nights of Disney … and Disney-style Halloween. I’m plotzing!!
