Three tiny servings of the booth’s three desserts: Lemon Chiffon, Tres Leches Verrine and White Chocolate Macadamia Mousse with Dark Chocolate Pearls
Status in 2012:
They will not be back. Instead, three new desserts will take center stage this year: yogurt panna cotta with orange cake, raspberries and pomegranate; dark chocolate mousse with chili and salted caramel; lemon custard verrine with blueberry compote. I can’t wait to try them!
I shared these three mini-desserts with my husband. We both agreed that the Lemon Chiffon was good but that the lemon tasted too “artificial” and “chemically.” (I feel like Florian Bellanger from Cupcake Wars just typing that!) We enjoyed the White Chocolate Mousse quite a bit: the dark chocolate pearls added a nice crunchy texture to the otherwise smooth, cool dessert. The stand out for us was the Tres Leches Verrine: delicious cake, covered in whipped cream and coconut shavings. We loved it so much, we went back for seconds!
